The story behind the logo:

In the past, Tyldesley Model Flying Club were extensively involved in local model air shows. One of these displays involved a bomb run with a the clubs 14ft span Halifax bomber. This bomb run involved the dropping of twelve Parachutes. These Parachutes were counted out and watched to the floor for retrieval. On one occasion thirteen "Parachutes" were counted out as the bomber spiraled gracefully earthwards. On picking up the Parachutes there were found to be 12 Parachutes and 1 nicad pack. Hence the logo with 13 bombs.
