The North County Flying Machine Bluto is a 48" wingspan EPP foamie racer and DS machine from the USA with a real weird outline. Really weird. And it was this different appearance and the DS video footage on the NCFM website that attracted me to the model in the first place. There were many comparisons between the JW and the Bluto already being drawn up but the Bluto appeared from the forums to have the edge on the frontside of the hill. I had always found the JW a little lacking on the front unless you had monster lift where it would plough through the turbulence with ease leaving everything else floundering. The JW is a very good tight turning ship on the back of the hill where it was basically designed to be, so the question was how would the Bluto shape up on the UK slopes. Gritting my teeth whilst paying HM customs and excise, and a big chunk to Parcelforce I picked up my Bluto some 3 days after it had been shipped. So that you won't be disappointed let me tell you here that there is not a lot in the box for your £100! Anyway, onto the piccys. Click on an image for a closer view and the build notes. The flying notes are on the last image.
