Wrap 2-3 turns of grease proof paper around the tube and tape into position. The paper should be longer than the intended length of your ballast tube. Ensure that you seal the edge of the paper with some suitable tape. I use sellotape Diamond and cover the paper. This gives a mirror finish on the inside of the ballast tube.
